General Information & Sign-Up
From July through March, we will typically have coolers of Gatorade and water available at Sampson Elementary for hydration after our Saturday long runs. We will also have slots available for CRC members to sign up to bring water to a location in Longwood most weeks and to a location in Rock Creek on several Saturdays when runners will be on longer runs over 15 miles. Click here to access the hydration calendar and sign up for this important volunteer opportunity for CRC members. There is no financial contribution required to volunteer for this activity, only time.
Coolers and Supplies
Coolers and supplies should be picked up from our hydration coordinator, Danielle Robbins no later than Thursday. Empty coolers and unused supplies should be returned to Danielle Wednesday (unless you volunteered to bring the same type of hydration the following week or made arrangements with your successor for the following week). Please send Danielle Robbins a private message on Facebook to coordinate pickup and drop-off or to let her know that you have made other arrangements. Supplies will include cups, Gatorade concentrate (for the volunteer bringing Gatoradeto Coles Crossing), and chairs for the water coolers at the Longwood and Rock Creek water stations.
Ice
Jimmy Johns on Spring Cypress will provide free ice to fill the coolers. Please fill them 1/2 way with ice to keep the hydration cold.
Recipe
Mix 1 gallon of concentrate with water (remember to consider ice will melt)

Monthly Gift Card Drawing
Every month, we will have a drawing for a Fleet Feet gift card. Each CRC member who filled a slot on the hydration calendar during that month and brought hydration will be entitled to one entry in the drawing for each slot filled by that member during the month. At least one additional gift card may be awarded at the end of the season for the CRC member who filled the most slots on the hydration calendar. Additionally, each CRC member who fills a hydration slot will also receive a $10 credit for each slot filled to Jimmy Johns on Spring Cypress.
*NOTE TO RUNNERS: We are fortunate to be able to run through several great neighborhoods here in Cypress. Out of respect for the residents of these communities and for the environment, please properly dispose of all used cups, gel packages and other trash during and after your run. As we are the most visible running group in the area, help maintain CRC’s solid community reputation.
