Cypress Running Club’s beginner 5k group started back in August with a run/walk interval program with running no more than one minute at a time. Over the weeks the running increased, the walking decreased, and after 12 weeks of dedicated training, race day arrived with perfect weather! Weather was ideal for runners for crossed their very first finish line cheered on by family members and members of CRC.

If you are interested in tackling your first 5k, Cypress Running Club will be offering “No More Excuses” to 5k training starting after the new year.
